Under my best knowledge about women do in World World II were builing up military suppiles. In the United States spend building up airplnes, tanks, boats, submarines, and other military equipment. Some women were part of the US Military army as nurses. I hope with this answer could help anyone in the history class
In the US, they pitched in to win the war by:
* taking over the shops and farms so that the men could fight.
* planting 20,000,000 Victory Gardens.
* taking jobs in the defense industries (6,500,000 jobs were held by the Rosie the Riviters of WWII.)
* and 350,000 women served in the Armed Forces as Nurses, clerks, drivers and pilots.
Women helped out a lot in World War II. They went from being just housewives to getting jobs as mill workers, etc. Many were nurses and still more were soldiers and spies. Over 500,000 women were in the armed forces.

Women performed a variety of jobs during World War II. Some worked as nurses, or with the USO, while others worked in factory jobs. Women in the U.S.S.R even fought alongside men on the front lines.
Women worked in factories, they occupied their husbands or family members jobs. They made food for the soldiers they made bombs. Some women even died in the Factoried because of the TNT sickness.
