Positive consequences of the Protestant Reformation were * more religions to choose from * better access to Protestants

A much greater emphasis on The Bible as the source of doctrine and practice, hence the Latin slogan sola scriptura, scripture alone. Following from this a stressing of the true Biblical doctrine of salvation by grace, hence the slogan sola gratia, grace alone.

Following from these, particularly the former, there was a great emphasis on education about the Bible and its teachings but not exclusively so. Hence, through the recently invented printing press we see many Bibles printed, along with other works of the reformers.

Many great hymns and church music began to be produced as well as changes to worship forms which reflected the new protestant doctrines. These forms and music were almost exclusively in the vernacular, the language of the common people, whereas much had previously been in Latin only, which only educated people knew. Thus, much religious practice which had previously been a mystery to many, particularly the poor, uneducated classes was made accessible and understandable.

Together with this there was much greater stress made on personal commitment and involvement. The work done on education, music and liturgical forms was all done to this end.
