What were some bad things about being a news boys during the industrial revolution?

You had little education and had to walk for many hours every day. You were faced with brutal conditions such as the weather and just overall people being rude and disrespectful. You often got made fun of by people your age who were richer than you. A lot of newsboys back then were either homeless or lived in very dingy homes in bad neighborhoods. They also did not make much if any profit and could barely get by.

∙ 12y agoIt was a hard and risking life for them.Kids as little as 5 months worked .Most of them were dying and walked around with a strap of newspapers on their back.Kids only went to school for 2 hours.The parents were forced to let their children work because of the low money at home,some kids didn't even have a home.

∙ 13y agoBeing a newsboy wasn't nearly as dangerous as working in a factory, plus you got to choose your own hours. Not only that, but they got better wages than the factory workers.
