Because of the lack of jobs, many African Americans, Latin Americans, and Asian Americans were pushed out of work places. As the amount of job opportunities began to dwindle, companies fired minorities in order to give their jobs to white people. Many whites claimed that if they were unemployed, that these minorities had no rights to jobs. Some people had these minorities deported back to their countries, even if they were born in the states.
