Reason #1- the states with western land claims did not want to give the land up Reason #2- land speculators were mad that they would not be able to sell the land that they had bought at a cheap price This led up to the Northwest Ordinance of 1785 and of 1787
Land in the Northwest Territory was allocated through the Land Ordinance of 1785, which established a systematic survey and division of the territory into townships and sections. Each township consisted of 36 sections, each measuring one square mile. The government sold these sections to settlers, with some reserved for public use, such as schools. This organized approach aimed to facilitate orderly settlement and development in the region.
Harrisburg was founded in 1787 by John Harris.
The administration of an ordinance is typically handled by local government officials or agencies, such as city councils, mayors, or designated departments (e.g., planning, zoning, or public safety). These entities are responsible for enforcing the ordinance, ensuring compliance, and addressing any violations. In some cases, specific roles may be delegated to appointed officials or boards, depending on the ordinance's nature and scope.

The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 prohibited slavery in the Northwest Territory, which included the present-day states of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This marked an important step towards limiting the expansion of slavery in the United States and contributed to the eventual abolition of slavery in the northern states.
Some strengths of the AOC were they established congress, the northwest ordinance, and the land ordinance of 1785.
The Ordinance prohibited slavery North of the Ohio River.
The Northwest Ordinance of 1787 prohibited slavery in the Northwest Territory, which included present-day states like Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin. This early legislation set a precedent for restricting slavery in new territories, although enforcement varied and some slaves were held in the region despite the ban.

When the Americans had won the revolutionary war they won all the land south of Canada and east of the Mississippi. So for these lands to become states the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 stated there had to be a minimum of 60,000 people. But some of the problems, the colonists dealt with while moving out West is that, they had to leave their families, had to leave their shelters and food supply, and had to start all over.
The process of admittance was established by the Northwest Ordinance of 1787, which organized the territory north of the Ohio River and east of the Mississippi River and established the precedent by which the nation would expand westward, forming federally governed territories, that when they had met the guidelines of the ordinance would become a sovereign state, rather than be incorporated into an already existing state. The Ordinance went further to describe that the territories north of the Ohio would be Free. Following this, and to some extent, the Missouri Compromise was also integral to the annexation (Texas) and admittance processes in Antebellum America, as it defined which states would have the option to be slave-holding, and which wouldn't.
Pakistan has some very beautiful natural areas, but I'd have to nominate the Karakoram mountain chain in the far northwest of Pakistan.
