What were the main problems or troubles between Britain and the colonies?

The main problem was that the colonies were being ruled by a king overseas. He wasn't there to govern them and make sure that they followed his rules. They could do whatever they wanted and he wouldn't even know about it for another year.

The issues arose between Great Britain and the American Colonies because the conditions in the colonies were quite different from those in England. The people of England had been building roads since the last ice age. Those in America did not yet have a good road system. While England had a Civil War under Cromwell, there had been internal peace. Americans had been fighting Spanish, French, and Indians. The British had houses well established. Americans were constantly building and improving houses. The earliest cabins had not been well built.

Then King George sent his independent tax collectors to collect taxes at gun point. Americans fought back. A pitched battle occurred between an army of tax collectors and an American Militia at Fayetteville (Cross Creek), North Carolina, in 1664. Then the king sent over an army. Secret trials and executions did not help. Legislators would be pulled out of colonial legislatures and executed.

Governor Guy Carlton of Quebec armed the Indians and told them to go on the warpath.

The Governor of Florida armed the Cherokee and the Creek Indians and told them to go on the Warpath. (When Andrew Jackson became President of the United States he sent all of the Creek indians and all of the Cherokee except for those in Junaluska's group to Oklahoma as payback.)

While it is true that Great Britain needed money to repay the costs run up from the war with France, the high handed approach used failed miserably.
