Making Japan surrender to end World War 2 was the only pro to the bombing.

The main cons are that 135,000 of mostly civilians died as a result, and in particular, the second bomb was probably not even necessary.

Lots of second guessing by people not having to live through the war is not really all that helpful, but it is good to reflect upon arguably bad decisions that have been made and to try not to repeat them.

What were the pro's and cons of dropping the atomic bomb?

PROS: It ended the war. We gave them a chance to surrender. There would have been more people killed if we had went over there to fight. The two cities that were bombed were going to get fir-bombed anyways. Only two bombs were ready and we couldn't afford to drop a test one. The results of the bomb droppings have prevented other countries from dropping nuclear bombs and such.

How did the bomb of Hiroshima effect the world?

First and foremost it ushered in the atomic age, with all of its pros and cons. In addition, the two bombs saved many lives in the USA, but killed around 140,000 people in Hiroshima and 80,000 in Nagasaki by the end of 1945. The estimates for an allied invasion of Japan were into the millions of casualties. There was an additional fear that the Japanese would begin a scorched earth policy. Without the two bombs, the war would have drug on for another year or longer. The suffering would have become much more dreadful for the Japanese and the allies would probably been forced to reduce Japan to little more than charred rock. The death toll would have surpassed any other campaign.
