Making Japan surrender to end World War 2 was the only pro to the bombing.
The main cons are that 135,000 of mostly civilians died as a result, and in particular, the second bomb was probably not even necessary.
Lots of second guessing by people not having to live through the war is not really all that helpful, but it is good to reflect upon arguably bad decisions that have been made and to try not to repeat them.

After it was done, no one could do a thing about that. It is true that the bombs ended the war and collapse Japan's to make war again but on the hand the advocates against the use of atomic bombs mostly referred on the civilian casualties, the illness it brought and the devastation.
PROS: It ended the war. We gave them a chance to surrender. There would have been more people killed if we had went over there to fight. The two cities that were bombed were going to get fir-bombed anyways. Only two bombs were ready and we couldn't afford to drop a test one. The results of the bomb droppings have prevented other countries from dropping nuclear bombs and such.
