The three canonic poets of Latin literature were Virgil, Horace and Ovid. Virgil's masterpiece was the Aeneid. Horace wrote the Satires, the Epistles and the Carmen Saeculare. Ovid's most ambitious work was the Metamorphoses.

There are many famous poets worldwide that wrote (famous?) poetry. In Britain, William Wordsworth and Robert 'Rabbie' Burns are just two out of many.
There are many Roman poets who wrote important poems but I presume that the epic poet Virgil and his work Aeneid are of great importance to the Roman literature.

Terence and Plautus are two playwrights that survive. Juvenal's satires and Maital's epigrams are two more I can think of.
Famous Chinese poets are many but these two are very very famous: 李白 (Li Bai) and 杜甫 (Du Fu)
