The Accrington Pals
lots of battleships and cruisers and the British naval force destroyed the German naval force and was number 1
No, Britain did not build any battleships for Turkey during World War 1. However, they did build and deliver two dreadnought battleships for the Ottoman Empire (which included present-day Turkey) in the years leading up to the war. These were the Sultan Osman I and Reşadiye, which were both commissioned in 1914.
They weren't battleships, they were obsolete and redundant World War 1 destroyers, and they weren't 'given', they were lent under the Lend/Lease Agreement and had to be either returned or paid for at the end of hostilities.

Germany had a significant naval presence during World War I and World War II, with various classes of battleships. In World War I, the German Imperial Navy had a total of 12 battleships, including the famous dreadnoughts like the SMS Kaiser. In World War II, the Kriegsmarine operated a smaller number of battleships, primarily the Bismarck and Tirpitz, along with several other vessels classified as pocket battleships. Overall, the number of battleships varied throughout both wars, reflecting Germany's naval strategy and resources.
About a year.
The Germans started WW2 with 6 battleships. One, the Graf Spee was damaged and scuttled in the second month of war.
The 1894 Sino War was an opportunity for the Japanese to use (try out) their new army & navy against a real enemy. Test them out, correct any shortcomings, improve their equipment, etc. The 1904 Russian War was the big test. Modern Russian battleships built under French designs against modern Japanese battleships built to British designs. This would also effect the European navies...what would be better...French designed battleships or British designed battleships? The Russo-Japanese War would prove which design was the best (it was the British designed battleships). The British launched HMS Dreadnought immediately after the war (based on lessons learned from the Russian/Japanese War). Dreadnought started a whole new naval arms race world wide, which ultimately led to WWI in 1914.
They were nick-named 'Tommies'.
