Albert was called King George VI. His father was King George V. When King George V died in 1936 his oldest son took the throne. He was King Edward VIII. Before the year was out King Edward abdicated so he could marry an American. So, Prince Albert took the throne. Sometimes monarchs change their names for certain reasons when they take the throne. Albert decided to call himself King George VI as a "continuation" of his father's reign.

Albert's first wife was a mathematician, and there is some debate about how much she contributed to his heat conduction papers. His second marriage was to a first cousin, Marie, but more importantly, to a fellow Jew. No joint children. There is no evidence that she contributed to his science.
Einstein married Mileva Marić, a fellow student at the Zurich Polytechnic, in 1903 due to their shared love for physics and intellectual companionship. They had two sons together, but their marriage faced challenges and eventually ended in divorce in 1919.
