Most people believe that women were not able to vote until 1920 in this Country. Well, that is only partially correct. As with all history, it is either his-story or her-story...

Unfortunately, when it comes to the true history of women gaining the right to vote in the U.S. - the Women of Mormonism in the territory of Utah -- are clearly overlooked when writing U.S. History.

The Women of Mormonism were not only included in those who pioneered this country on foot across the plains, but they were leaders in setting a path that eventually won them the right to vote before all other women at the time. This was years before women in the United States as a whole - gained that right.
