the Americans had poor leadership many officer commissions were purchased. they thought that since the british army was tired up fighting napolian it would be easy. they under estimated the determination of the Canadian militia.also the Americans mistreated the natives so badly all the tribes jointed tyhr canadians.it must have been the worst war for the U.S.because the capitol was burned to the ground by the canadians.
