My wife and I met Sanctus Real on the 2015 K-Love Cruise. They told us their drummer, Mark Graahlman, thought the band's name should contain the word Sanctus, which is Latin for "to be Holy" and another band member, who is no longer with them, had proposed a name that contained the word Real. The rest is history!
