One interesting but tragic note is that Burgen Beltzen was liberated only three weeks after Anne Frank died. What could the world have been told if only the liberation had taken place a month earlier. This little girl's voice is still crying out to us over 60 years later, "I still believe there is basic good in everyone." I'm sorry dear Anne, but after living 65 years and seeing so much hatred and savagery, I respectfully disagree.
