The Drape Coat they wore had to be tailer made, and the Tony Curtis hair cut had to be cut regularly. Yes the Teds got into fights, but what youth did not.

The name has nothing to do with Teddy Roosevelt! the Teddy Boys were a sort of generic term for juvenile delinquents. they affected the Edwardian or double-breasted jacket style- and this is said to inspire the name. they were a lawless bunch of punks- so to speak, and this is not an organized movement even akin to the Hippies which at least had the anti-war Peace motive.
