I blame the public of France. She was executed on the guillotine by Sanson the executioner, not however the Sanson who had executed her husband Louis XVI but his son who had assumed the office from his father who attended and acted as an assistant.

Marie Antoinette was beheaded by guillotine in Paris on Oct 16th 1793 at the age of 37 after spending years of imprisonment with her children.

She was killed at the Place de la Republique, now called Place de la Concorde. On this big square you can still see where the guilotine was located as the French put up a big monument, a Hugh Obelisque, on the exact spot the guilotine used to be.
