American's experienced the ideals of women becoming flappers shortly after WW1 in Great Britain. the ideas of the flapper image originated around the Jazz age when women would change their style in hair , clothing and makeup. The flappers influence spread all throughout america changing young girls into a new generation of what we like to call perilous objects of the mind. flappers were an important part of the 1920's because it helped american women open up and become independent the last impact flappers had on people was giving america a whole different perspective and outlook on what young girls wanted, they wanted a change for women.
