Martha lives in House Number 42 in the book "Abomination."
Martha is Marys son
she is abused
Yes.
In the book "Abomination" by Gary Whitta, Martha is 14 years old and Scott is 15 years old.
In the cellar, Martha's parents are keeping abomination who is Jim, Martha's sister, Marys son. Her parents banned Mary from the house and sent her away. Her parents are ashamed of Jim so keep him in the cellar.
In the book "Abomination" by Robert Swindells, the character said to be the Abomination is Martha, a young girl who is rumored to be possessed by demons. She is shunned and feared by the small village community, and the story explores how superstition and prejudice can affect people's lives.
Authors Colleen Coble and Robert Swindells have both written a book entitled Abomination.
Martha is a girl that is different to other kids in her school. her parents are very strict because they belong to that religious group called the Righteous. People chase her and call her names like Ma, Arthur or Raggedy-Ann because of the fact that her mother makes her clothes. She meets a boy called Scott. He really likes her and she likes him. He contacts Mary to tell her that Jim (Abomination) was in the cellar in a cage at Martha's house. Soon after then Martha gets locked in her room and they plan to move houses to Wharton (i think its Wharton) but Mary comes in time to rescue Jim and takes Martha with her. Martha tried to write secret letters to Scott and that was successful before Mary came. then Mary came but i mentioned that earlier. Then Martha, Jim and Mary live together. Martha lives like an ordinary girl with bought clothes, a TV, a computer and goes to a school where she doesn't get laughed at at all.
Robert Swindells wRote 'Abomination' to show how much you need good friends to rely on and how sometimes children feel parents rule their lives but i bet none of them had it as tough as Martha!
"Abomination" by Robert Swindells follows the story of Martha, a girl living in a post-apocalyptic world, and her struggles to survive. The main characters include Martha, Tinker, Red, Tersie, and Jack, each with their own roles and challenges in the story.
Martha Speaks - book - was created in 1992-09.
