I was told by an Italian gentleman that it comes from central Sicily, where the olive growing regions lie. I am however trying to get more specific detail as I it will one day become my last name and I'd like to be able to tell our kids! If I find out more I'll try get it on here :o)

I was told that it was Italian and deprived from the word tre meaning three and vino meaning vine, thus meaning would be three vines.
