Rosa Parks was not sitting in the front of the bus. She was sitting in the back of the bus, in row 11, in the first row of seats of the "Black section." When the bus crowded with more Anglos and there were no more seats in the "White section" the bus driver told the African Americans in the first two rows of the "Black section" to move back to allow one Anglo male to sit down in two whole rows. After the bus drove off, Rosa Parks sat back down in the first two rows of seats in the "Black section." That was when the argument started which resulted in the arrest.

There is a great one hour video about the Montgomery Bus Boycott that I show to my students every semester. HBO did the video with help from the American Southern Law & Poverty Institution, or something like that. You might find it on YouTube.
