Norse God of War, god of thunder, Thor, and Frigga
The Greek gods have 2 names because they are known in both Greek AND Roman mythology, only in differant names.
The Romans did not have names for the days of the week as we do. They counted their "week" as an eight day period between market days but even though the days did not have names, they could be denoted by numbers, such as two days after or three days before a market day. Dies Iovis
Over 1,500 names of Egyptian gods and goddesses have been recorded.
The current English names for weekdays are merely current spellings of Anglo-Saxon day names. The medieval names were Sunnandaeg, Monandaeg, Tiwesdaeg, Wodnesdaeg, Thunresdaeg, Frigedaeg, and Saeturnesdaeg. All but the last were from names of Germanic gods, the last was of Roman origin and from the name of a Roman god.
I always thought that roman and Greek gods were immortal (they had the same gods with different names)

The names are Osris, Horus, Set, Isis, and Nephthys.
Yes, Freya=friday Thor=Thursday Odin= wendsday
These four Anglo-Saxon gods gave their names to the days of the week. Tiw became Tuesday, Woden - Wednesday, Thunor - Thursday and Frige - Friday.
The king of the Anglo-Saxon gods was Woden, a German version of the Scandinavian god Odin, who had two pet wolves and a horse with eight legs. Other gods were Thunor, god of thunder; Frige, goddess of love; and Tiw, god of war. These four Anglo-Saxon gods gave their names to the days of the week.
The ancient Greek Gods did not have second (or family) names.
