There are certain checks and balances that each branch has over one another, like how the executive branch can veto a bill, but then the legislative branch can override a presidential veto with a 2/3 vote.

The feature of the Constitution that prevents one branch of the national government from becoming too powerful is the system of checks and balances. This system ensures that each of the three branches—executive, legislative, and judicial—has the ability to limit the powers of the others, thereby maintaining a balance of power. For example, the President can veto legislation, Congress can override that veto, and the courts can rule laws unconstitutional. This framework is designed to promote accountability and prevent any single branch from dominating the government.
The Legislative branch (Congress) can override the President's veto on a bill with a two-thirds vote from both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
The Legislative Branch, consisting of Congress, may override the president's veto with a 2/3 majority.

The US Congress is the legislative branch of the US government and is the branch that can pass laws.
Congressional Override
The judicial branch doesn't check the presidents power to veto specifically. The legislative can however find the actions of the president unconstitutional through judicial review. The presidents power to veto is checked by the legislative, as congress can override the veto by a 2/3 majority.
