The awesome & short lived empire of Alexander the Great was formed and fell apart; 5. The Roman empire rose & was demolished; 6. The Byzantine Empire rose and fell; 7. Christianity's roots and influence rose; 8. The Ottoman Empire rose, conquered Byzantium; 9. The Gupta & Maura empire in India rose & fell; 10. The Chinese dynasties rose; 11. The Mongol empire rose & fell; 12. The Native American empires rose & fell; 13. Europeans began the colonization of the New World; and 14. Islamic empires rose & fell. Clearly this is an outline and other events occurred, however, major changes are highlighted here.

This is completely wrong... The Songhai empire rose after it reconquered Mali around 1450 CE. They fell after an internal political collapse and they were attacked by Morocco around 1540 CE. They were unprepared and already weakened by the political collapse.
