I think a good example wod relatively made would be 2pac. He came from relatively nothing, and made so much money and gained huge amounts of fame. He gave back a lot of money back to his communities and tried to change the world for the better. The American dream is all about reaching better standards than your parents and somehow being remembered after death with a great legacy and for 2pac it was as the God of Rap.

The American dream during the time of war in the 1940's was all about attaining peace. In the 1980's up to present, the American dream is for foreign immigrants to be granted citizenship. The American dream evolved depending on the people involved.

This dream could be interpreted in different ways depending on the dreamer's emotions and the setting of the dream. One possibility is that the best friend in the dream is used symbolically, actually representing the dreamer himself. In this case, the dream would be a wish-fulfillment dream; a pleasant story in which the dreamer experiences going out with his dream girl. Another possibility is that the dreamer feels threatened by his friend, in which case the dream symbolically represents that threat. In either case, the dream girl represents an imaginary ideal, not a real person.
In this dream, the friend symbolizes yourself. The fight represents some problem that you are struggling with in real life.

The baby in this dream represents something precious developing between you and your best friend, or, stated differently, something the two of you are creating together. This could refer to your relationship or to an idea, task or project.
In the novel "Of Mice and Men" George and Lennie have a dream to own a farm with animals and the whole thing. This dream of theirs represents the American dream. Even now we all wish we could be celebrities and stuff, back then it was to own something you could call your own and not work for someone else. For most the American dream never comes true.
