Jediism, a belief system inspired by the Jedi characters in the Star Wars franchise, does not have a single founder. Instead, it emerged in the late 1990s, primarily through the efforts of fans and practitioners who sought to create a spiritual path based on the values and philosophies depicted in the films. The movement gained more structure and recognition through online communities and organizations, such as the Temple of the Jedi Order, which was established in 2001.
