to patriots it meant, give us freedome or we'd rather be killed than to live under tyranny. but to loyalist it just gave a deeper explanation of what the patriots wanted. im not that sure about what this quote meant to loyalists
A free and independent nation, conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the Principle that all men are created equal.
The people who fully supported American independence from Britain were classified as Patriots. This group included a diverse coalition of colonists who believed strongly in the principles of liberty, self-governance, and resistance to British rule. Patriots engaged in various forms of protest and activism, including boycotts and military action, to advocate for independence and the establishment of a new nation. Their commitment ultimately played a crucial role in the success of the American Revolution.
Patriots were colonists who supported American independence from British rule during the American Revolution. They advocated for self-governance and opposed British policies and taxes that they deemed unjust. Patriots played a key role in mobilizing resistance against British authority, ultimately seeking to establish a new nation based on democratic principles.
The event after 1789 that helped to unify the nation is The American Revolution.
The slogan was "Liberté, égalité, fraternité" (liberty, equality, fraternity (brotherhood)). The French Revolution (1789-1793) attempted to establish a democratic government in place of the monarchy, partly due to the excesses of the aristocrat class. This eventually became the official motto of the French Republic.

The American Revolution was the most inspired by the ideas of Enlightenment, as it sought to establish a government grounded in concepts of liberty, equality, and popular sovereignty. Figures like Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin were influenced by Enlightenment thinkers like John Locke and Montesquieu in shaping the ideals of the new nation.

to show the liberty and unity of our nation to show the liberty and unity of our nation
Although both parties were Americans, loyalists wanted the colonies to remain loyal to the British, while patriots wanted to split from the empire and have the colonies become their own nation. The patriotic fought the British in the American Revolution, while loyalists served as spies against the patriots.
Simón Bolívar was the leader inspired by the ideas of the American Revolution and the Enlightenment to liberate South America from Spanish colonial rule. Influenced by Enlightenment principles of liberty, equality, and self-governance, Bolívar sought to unite various South American territories into a single nation. His efforts led to the independence of several countries, including Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, earning him the title "El Libertador."
From my understanding of the original quote by Thomas Jefferson, "Occasionally the tree of Liberty must be watered with the blood of Patriots and Tyrants," from time to time, governments must be reminded that the people have the right and the responsibility of protecting their collective liberties and freedoms. The government should fear it's people otherwise it might try to unduly control the people. Jefferson spoke succinctly to this issue. Hamilton, Jay, and Madison spoke in greater depth and more explicitly in "The Federalist Papers." Another way to look at this is that by saying this, he meant that freedom comes with a price - for both the governed and those who would govern. The blood of tyrants and patriots must be spilled in order to maintain the liberty we have earned as a nation. Tyrants could be foreign or domestic leaders gone astray. Patriots can be the men and women serving their nation in any capacity, who ultimately die or are wounded in the fight to maintain the liberty of their nation.
The goal of the Patriots' revolution against Britain was to achieve independence from British rule and to establish a government that represented the interests and rights of the American colonists. They sought to eliminate oppressive taxation and laws imposed by Britain without colonial representation, encapsulated in their rallying cry of "no taxation without representation." Ultimately, the revolution aimed to create a new nation based on democratic principles and individual liberties.
