Who invented hot chips?

The very first people to use chocolate were the Aztecs approximately 3,100 years ago, though the way they made chocolate back then is very different from chocolate in the present day. Aztecs used chocolate mainly in somewhat bitter, or even alcoholic, beverages rather than as dessert. Sweet chocolate such as milk chocolate was developed in 1875 by Daniel Peter, who would go on to form the Nestle chocolate company along with Henri Nestle.

Who discovered solid chocolate?

the first chocolate was invented in AD 600, by the Aztecs. But, it wasn't like a chocolate bar or anything, it was a drink which tasted bitter and disgusting because there was no milk, or even sugar. However, the first chocolatebar like the ones we eat now where properly invented by Herni Nestle 1875, which had added milk, and in the shape of a BAR!

When was drinking chocolate invented?

The Swiss began making chocolate in the mid 1800's. Switzerland, at the time, had cows but did not have abundant commodities of chocolate and sugar. In 1876, M. Daniel Peter attempted to add milk to chocolate to produce a smoother chocolate. However, adding water to chocolate made the chocolate shrink, separate and generally disintegrate. Milk has water in it, and it took Peter 8 years of experimenting before taking his product to Henry Nestle, a maker of evaporated milk. Nestle had perfected the manufacture of condensed milk, and he and Peter hit upon the idea of mixing sweetened condensed milk with chocolate(reference-http://www.middleboro.k12.ma.us/Middleboro/CHOC/Chocolate.htm)

Who invented the chocolate chips cookies?

Ruth Graves Wakefield invented the first chocolate chip cookie ever when in 1937 she was in the Tollhouse Inn making butter do-drop cookies, when she decided to chop up a Nestle® chocolate bar and put it in the dough. She expected the chocolate to melt in the dough while baking. (Keep in mind this was NOT homemade chocolate.) Eventually, the Tollhouse chocolate chip cookie became a success, and people couldn't get enough of them! Ruth then signed a contract with Nestle saying that they could put her recipe on the back of their chocolate bar, and they'd give her a lifetime supply of chocolate. The chocolate bar seemed to be too hard to cut, so Nestle came out with semi-sweet chocolate morsels, or chocolate chips. They put Ruth Wakefield's recipe on the back of the bag. The chocolate chip cookie was indeed an accident.
