From the moment man left the cave he created superstition. It is a means to explain what isn't understood. Along this same line are the legends about Gods and the world. Man seeks to explain the unknown to have order in the world he lives. He sees a big footprint of a animal in the sandstone of his cave and this becomes a dragon. The night has different sounds and shadows so it is considered full of spirits and bad air. The sailor doesn't return from his voyage and it is thought that there are islands that pull nails from the ships sinking them ( this is a true superstition). People today have not given up believing in superstitions. Ours are modern ones about things living in the sewers and big foot. Man wants to explain things anyway he can so he creates his answers.
