I'm not sure. I am trying to find out the value of a 1904 print by Taber Prang. Its a Roman picture with 5 women (one is standing barefoot on a ball). There is also one man. It's on a porch near the water.
The Taber-Prang Art Co. was an American publishing company that produced prints, postcards, and other decorative art products in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They were known for their high-quality chromolithographs and were a prominent force in the art publishing industry at the time.
The title is "chickens" and is a chromolithograph. Most will come with an original tilt frame with a flowers and leaves motif.
The value of a Taber Prang print of the Last Supper can depend on factors like condition, rarity, and market demand. The number on the back, such as 240, typically refers to the edition number and does not necessarily increase the value significantly unless it's a particularly low or unique number. Therefore, while your print may still be valued in the range of $3,200 to $4,000, its specific number does not inherently make it more valuable.

There were two artists in the late 19th to early 20th C.creating paintings and prints of monks, archbishops, cardinals, and popes, usually imbibing some sort of alcoholic beverage, doing something that allowed for titles with wonderfully humorous leanings. Oddly enough, they both worked under the same name. Swiss artist, Alfred Weber (1859- 1936) and French artist, Alfred Charles Weber (1862- 1922) were from the same family, and at times, it can be almost impossible to tell the difference between their work- even their signatures are decidedly similar, with both usually signing as "A. Weber" or "Alfred Weber," in an old style that made the letter "r" at the end resemble an "n" more than anything else. [To further confuse things, there was another artist, a German named August Weber (1817- 1873), who also signed in almost the same exact way, although, thankfully, for identification purposes, he mostly painted land and seascapes.]In the case of the print described, it was almost certainly done by Alfred Charles Weber, who held a contract with Taber Prang from around 1902 until his death. Weber often chose to show a Cardinal or Pope, not out of any disrespect, but because this allowed the robes to be painted in a wonderfully bright red gouache paint, with highlights of China White, which, unlike most Taber Prang artists, he chose to paint, himself. More subtly, the cleric's smiling face and cheeks often show a light touch of pink watercolor (to show joviality, as much as to further imply drinking), while the rest of the print is likely be highlighted in lightly applied touches of watercolor. As for value, there are many people who collect Taber Prang prints, and those by Alfred Charles Weber usually sell at auction, both on eBay and through straight auctions, for anywhere between $50- $150, at auction, depending on size and condition, and whether the print is in its original, well-maintained frame. (Taber Prang is known to have used quality frames, which have proven to hold up well over the years.)
