During the Holocaust, various individuals and groups were aware of the atrocities occurring in Nazi-occupied Europe. Reports from resistance movements, refugees, and underground networks reached governments and organizations, including the Allied powers, who received intelligence about the mass exterminations. Additionally, some individuals in Germany and occupied territories, including local populations and church leaders, were aware of the actions against the Jews and other targeted groups, though responses varied widely. However, the full extent of the Holocaust was not fully understood until after World War II ended.
Yes, the bystanders were (almost certainly) the majority. They were the people who knew or saw what was happening but did nothing: they were neither victims nor perpetrators. It has become fashionable to regard the bystanders as morally even worse than the killers.
he knew it happened
The US constitution pre-dated the Holocaust by about 150 years, it did not prevent the Holocaust happening the first time. The Holocaust happened very far away from the USA, whether the US even had a constitution was totally irrelevant.

Holocaust denial began while it was happening, early 40s. The Allies did not believe it until they saw it for themselves. Knowing future generations would be in doubt, they tried to film and document as much as possible.
1. Find out what the Holocaust is. 2. Get the names of the Camp Commanders of those Holocaust places. 3. Research WHO those Camp Commanderes and Staff were in communication with. 4. Whomever those men were talking to, will know about "those camps." 5. IF THEY KNEW...then who else knew?
The most memorable happening in Germany is the Holocaust. There are plenty more, but the Holocaust is the most famous.
