King George V
George V, grandson of Queen Victoria and son of Edward VII, reigned for 25 years, from May 6, 1910 to January 20, 1936 when he died and was succeeded by his eldest son, who became (temporarily) Edward VIII.George V actually reigned for 25 years, 8 months and 15 days but, in the same way we say a man was 95 years old when he died, not 95 years and 8 months, we say the king reigned for 25 years.
