I've been researching (this song) because of an argument. There are several songs that mention the three ships in Columbus' expedition; the above is one; there is another by Vangelis; and the three ships also feature in a show written by Kurt Weill and Ira Gershwin in around 1945. But I wonder if the questioner meant the 1950s hit "Three Galleons" by Robert Earl?
