In the russian civil war, joined the Bolshevik-side. Leninist, to be esact in political view.

Chief of Staff in U.S.S.R. 1925-1928.

In 1935, he received the ranking of (field)marshal.

Soviet supreme commander in the years 1931-1937 [executed in 11th june 1937].

Stalin thought, that the high ranked soviet commanders had a plot in overthrowing him, that's why Tuhhatševki [somewhat phoenetical] was executed, along, with the other U.S.S.R.'s 1/2 officers.

It is though, that he is the father of modernized warfare [from cavalry to tanks, advanced doctrines, etc].
