Well, Haiti became indipendent on October 10th 1969 because of army general Hough Bolagnia. Hough led the Haitian army through Jarusalem to the dead sea where the British were awaiting them with guns and other weapons that were more advanced than anything the Haitians had. The Haitians persisted and won though.
