The Triple Entente was a major part of World War One because these countries made up an entire fighting force. Germany and it's allies made up this group. The Triple Entente fought is also known as the Central Powers.
Strategically the triple alliance had a very strong position because they were all linked by borders ,almost like a wall in between the triple entente, and could therefore, effectively cut off all communication between Russia, Britain and France. However because Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia -thereby immediately bringing Russia into the war- they could not put their strategic location into effect. Another large part in the beginning of the war was that Italy did not join in until May 1915 by which time the weight of numbers of the triple entente had given them a large advantage and so the triple alliance also started off the war by losing one ally and their strategic position.
One was called the Triple Entente (the British, French and Russian one) and one was Triple Alliance (the Germans, Austrian and Italien)
world war one originally started with 3 main powers; Britain, France and Russia. When Britain declared war that meant that Canada was also at war, and also many troops from Australia. In 1917, the United States joined the triple entente as well, jsut as Russia had called for peace with Germany.
there were 2 alliences one was the TRIPLE ENTENTE and TRIPLE ALLIENCE TRIPLE ENTENTE: FRANCE,RUSSIA,ENGLAND TRIPLEALLIANCE:GERMANY,AUSTRO-HUNGARY,ITALY AND THE NEUTRAL COUNTRIES WERE SPAIN,SWITZERLAND,SWEDEN,NORWAY HOPE I HELPED LOL SMILES :)
They joined because they made a pack meaning that if one was attacked they would attack the attacker. In WWI Germany marched through Belgium and attacked France who were part of the Triple Entente, Britain was also in the Triple Entente so consequently attacked France.
The nations in the triple alliance were Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. Though Italy switched sides later on. The triple entente on the other hand, originally consisted of France, Russia and Britain. The entente got a few additions later on though I think. Romania was one of them.
