It is not known. One of Julius Caesar's sisters, Julia the Younger, had three daughters: Atia Balba Prima, Atia Balba Caesonia and Atia Balba Tertia. His other sister, Julia the Elder is only known from a passage by ancient historian Suetonius which only mentions her grandsons. Julius Caesar adopted his grandnephew, Gaius Octavius whose name on adoption changed to Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus. Historians used the name Octavian for the period of his life between his adoption and his becoming the first Roman emperor. When he became emperor he was given the honorific title of Augustus and historians use this name for the period when he was the ruler.
