Rajendra Prasad (1884-1963) was Minister of Food and Agriculture in the Interim Indian Government of 1946. He presided over the Indian Constituent Assembly from 1946 to 1949, and was the first elected President of the Republic of India in 1950. He was elected to two subsequent terms.
