The beginning of the American Indian wars.
The Southwest Indian Wars involved various Native American tribes, including the Apache, Navajo, and Pueblo peoples, who resisted U.S. expansion into their territories. Key figures included leaders like Geronimo and Cochise from the Apache, as well as Manuelito from the Navajo. On the U.S. side, military leaders such as General George Crook and General Nelson A. Miles played significant roles in the conflicts. The wars spanned from the mid-19th century to the early 20th century, culminating in significant displacement and loss of life for Native peoples.
Some of the Indian leaders were called chiefs.

The US Government said that the "Indian Wars" were over in the 1860's, however many tribal leaders will tell you that this war still continues to this day. Native Americans' and American's will never find peace together as the American culture is hypocritical and a direct violation of all values generally associated with humanity.

The continental United States has experienced the following wars: (Discounting the French & Indian War, since the US did NOT exist then) Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, and continuous Indian Wars from the 1600's until 1890, when, officially, the Indian Wars ended. Of those conflicts, the US Civil War had the most battles within the continental US. See (US) Civil War.
