The Nazis were (mostly) German supporters of the German dictator, Adolf Hitler.

'Nazi' stood for the National Socialist German Workers' Party. It was a politial party that took over Germany in 1933-34. Hitler's regime of the Third Reich was evil and brutal. The Allies (US, Britain and many other countries) defeated Hitler and the Nazis.

Though a political party, the Nazi platform was based on Aryan Superiority, a form of virulent racism that included antisemitism and a hatred for communists, socialists, and included the ethnic cleansing of Jews, Romanies, Poles, Russians, and any other non-Aryans, as well as homosexuals, people with Down syndrome, the insane, and any other birth defect that rendered the person less than whole in the minds of the Nazis. The Nazis carried out their program of extermination that only ended with the allied victory.
