Eight Strikers arrested for killing police officers
Martyrs of the Alamo was created on 1915-11-21.
The Haymarket Riot resulted in the conviction of several labor leaders in a bombing that killed several police officers, even though there was no evidence they had anything to do with it. This incident represented a turning point for labor unions in the United States. Although many were perfectly content with the identification and imprisonment of the labor leaders, others viewed these men as martyrs based on the lack of evidence which was presented to convict them.
The Haymarket Riot occurred on Tuesday May 4, 1886 and involved striking workers of the Knights of Labor union. When the protest turned violent, several police and strikers were killed.
The list of martyrs is vast. I would encourage you to do a search using the criteria you would like to see. Christian Martyrs Korean Martyrs, etc. Please see the related link below.
