monotheism replaced poltheism because as comunication and transport increased varrious tribes and cultures came in to contact . this destroyed polythiesm because people had originaly thought that seprate gods ruled supreate places and seprate things this was easy to belive before roads ect because people said in one place and did not understand othere people or places only once people could get around could they began to see the world as a sinle entity this single enity theirfore should be ruled by one god .
