There were some tribes that were selling their land to the White armies and not all the Native Americans agreed it was theirs to give. This was going on for awhile and Tecumseh along with other Indians decided that it was time to fight for the land that was rightfully theirs. So he banded together other Indian nations to unite against the Westward expansion which was pushing the Indians out of their land.
