The Midnight ride of Paul Revere and William Dawes awoke the Minutemen at Lexington and Concord. At Lexington, Minutemen fought and either died or ran for cover as the British dominated the battle. At Concord, the British could not fine the store of goods they had been looking for. They set fire to everything that might be holding weapons, and the Minutemen of Concord fought back. To the troops' surprise, proving that the colonists would die for their rights.
