The Bad Knights Crusade, also known as the Crusade of 1189-1192, was marked by several causes, including internal conflicts among the factions of the Crusaders, poor leadership, and lack of unity among Christian states. Additionally, the harsh conditions in the Holy Land and logistical challenges weakened the morale of the knights. The rivalry between key figures, such as Richard the Lionheart and King Philip II of France, further exacerbated tensions and undermined the effectiveness of the campaign. Ultimately, these factors contributed to the crusade's limited success and disillusionment among its participants.
Approximately 10,000 to 15,000 knights volunteered to join the First Crusade, which began in 1096. This figure is part of a larger force that included tens of thousands of infantry and non-combatants. The knights were motivated by a mix of religious fervor, the promise of land and wealth, and the desire for adventure. The First Crusade ultimately aimed to recapture Jerusalem and other holy sites from Muslim control.

The crusade of the Spanish knights to drive the invaders out of the country was called the Reconquista.

Get an army, move it out of a settlement so it is on the game map. Right click on the general (you may have to have a family member leading the army) and there will be a small button towards the bottom that says "join crusade." Click that, and if you have a big enough army they will join the Crusade.
