whose side did the native americans take between the french and british and why?
The Native Americans sided with the colonists because they wanted to fight for their land the the British had invaded
Many reasons. Firstly, the British bought their support. Also, they were more scared of colonists taking their land than the british. Apperently rightly so.
The British said they would stop colonists from settling in the west
Because the British armed them :)

Most Native Americans sided with the British in the War of 1812. American settlers were encroaching on their land, and Native Americans had already been in conflict with them before the war. The British also made efforts in the peace treaty to preserve the rights of the Native Americans, however these were mostly ignored.
Americans defeated the native American allies.among those killed was Chief Tecumseh.
