The Panzer I was used do much because it was 1939 and there wern't many different types of verieties. And the Panzer I and II were pretty much the only tanks they had at their disposal.. later Came the III, IV, V Panther, VI Tiger, VII King Tiger, VIII Maus. And other veriants.
