Because slaves must obey their master's and the masters say do this or do that, then they have to do it. If the master finds out their slave is dating a employee then they might just get killed. Master's would just say I want you to be my wife, then the slaves would.

What is an apologist?

Apologists defend their religion against skeptical attacks. It does not mean they 'apologize' for it. For example, a Christian apologist may counter skeptical attacks on the existence of Jesus with evidence from multiple sources that he did exist.

What were three benefits and three problems of the colonial rule?

Colonial powers exploited Africa's natural resources but on the balance, colonialism reduced the economic gap between Africa and the West, the apologists argue. Colonialism laid the seeds of the intellectual and material development in Africans. - See more at: http://www.chacha.com/question/what-were-three-benefits-and-three-problems-of-colonial-rule#sthash.OiD5JWBE.dpuf

What does state mean?

It's the idea that most governing power should be held by the American states, not the federal government. The basic idea is that states know best what their people want and need, so they should be the ones to give them those things. Additionally, the Constitution lays out certain tasks that the federal government is supposed to do; many states rights advocates believe that the federal government should do only exactly those things, and nothing more. I will not argue the validity of these concepts here; I'll leave that to the reader to decide. At the extreme, it can go even further, to that states have the right to "nullification"- if a state thinks a law is unconstitutional, then that state can nullify, or cancel, that law. Courts have consistently found "nullification" illegal- Article Six of the Constitution says that when state laws conflict with Federal Laws, the federal law is considered "supreme"; and Article Three states that only federal courts can declare laws unconstitutional. But that doesn't stop some states from trying anyway!"States rights" is a favorite term often used by conservatives and Southern apologists. Conservatives see it as a reason to get rid of departments, policies and laws of the federal government that they don't like. Southern apologists claim it's the "real reason" why the South seceded and the Civil War was fought, because they find the truth uncomfortable- the truth being that the South seceded because of slavery, which is borne out by numerous documents (secession articles, the Confederate Constitution, etc) by Southern leaders at the time.

Was the union for slavery or against slavery?

The union was against slavery. There were slave states within the Union however the South was more pro slavery. The issue of slavery had been building for years prior. One of the major arguments was whether or not slavery would be allowed in the west. And it was the election of Lincoln, well known for his opposition of slavery, which prompted South Carolina to attempt secession in 1860. Southern apologists and historical revisionists often say that the war was about "states rights" and partly this is true but the Constitution of the Confederate States of America, as they called themselves, was almost identical to the U.S. Constitution except that it gave legal protection to the institution of slavery so however important "states rights" or "limited federal government" was to the south, it was certainly not as important as slavery. The fact is, much of the north was fiercely abolitionist. Many of the popular songs of the north recanted the evils of slavery and hope of freedom for the slaves in the south. And with the Emancipation Proclamation Lincoln not only prevented any European aid for the south - as almost all of Europe was currently waging its own war against slavery - but swelled the Grand Army of the Republics ranks with thousands of new abolitionist volunteers.

Why were Christians prosecuted more by the Romans than followers of some other religion?

They had been considered a threat to the State since they refused to take arms and join the armed services creating a security gap in the defend of the empire. Many times the sanctions against Christians were also leveled against the Jews. It actually took a while for the Romans to distinguish them as separate sects, but they were often lumped together because they were so stubborn and exclusive. The Christians, as mentioned above, were considered an internal threat. In fact, they were considered traitors and promoters of bad morality. By refusing to worship or even acknowledge the Pagan gods and divine quality of the emperor, the Christians were in effect decrying the entire Roman social structure and government. Thus it is perfectly understandable why the Romans distrusted them; they were materially traitors and were impious to the gods, and thus morally corrupt and a scandal to the Roman public. Matters were not helped by certain Christian apologists who loved to rub the Pagans' noses in it when some disaster or military defeat happened. The Romans were very tolerant of other religions provided those religions were themselves tolerant to other religions and recognized the Roman gods. Christianity and Judaism rejected this basic rule, being intolerant religions, and thus were never received well, even initially.

Did the governmant cause 911?

No. Al Qaeda is not a government as such, just an organization of terrorists. Some Al Qaeda apologists try to convince people that the US government did 9/11 themself, presumably so they could look incompetent at their jobs.
