Multiple Indian tribes can be found one each side of the French and Indian War (also known as the seven years war). The Iriquois for instance supported the British almost exclusively. Most indians however assisted the French for a variety of reasons. Firstly, the French had more of a symbiotic relationship with the Indians. They trade with them frequently and had more of an amicable relationships while the English fought many wars against the Indians massacring indiscriminately (First and Second Pequot War for instance. Also the French were the first to arrive in the land that Indians controlled and they did not attack on site. Another reason was that English and Indians had strict borders whereas the French intermingled with the Indians much more and therefore were further ingrained into Indian Society. Hopes this helps and I am a History Masters Student.

What attitude do you think contributed to support for the evacation of Japanese-Canadians during world war 2?

The support for the evacuation of Japanese-Canadians during World War II was largely fueled by widespread racism and xenophobia, stemming from fears of espionage and sabotage following Japan's entry into the war. This attitude was exacerbated by wartime propaganda that depicted Japanese-Canadians as potential threats, fostering a climate of distrust and suspicion. Additionally, the prevailing belief in national security prioritized perceived safety over civil liberties, leading to the unjust internment and displacement of thousands of Japanese-Canadians.

Which group of Canadians were for conscription in World War 2 in?

In World War II, English Canadians were generally more supportive of conscription compared to their French Canadian counterparts. This support was largely due to their stronger ties to Britain and the belief in the necessity of military service to support the war effort.
