Why did the North Vietnam win the Vietnam War?

A lot had to do with domestic policy at home in the U.S. by the time of Nixon's presidency, the last president to take office before the official end of the war, public opinion of the war was negative. Many wished the war to come to an end. This made the U.S. pull out prematurely, and did not let Nixon finish is process of "Vienamization", which was basically Nixon training Vietnamese troops to replace American ones. When the U.S. pulled out, a shaky peace treaty between the North and South was formed, and when the North attacked the south again, the U.S. would not intervene again, and the weak south fell. It's also important to note that the nationalistic feeling was stronger in the north versus the south, as the pro-western leader placed in South Vietnam was not looked highly upon b the public. Perhaps he final major factor was the way the North Vietnamese fought. They hid in neighboring Cambodia, where they new U.S. troops would not attack, for diplomatic reasons, until Nixon pushed thew bombing of Cambodia. But by then it was really to late, and just obfuscated the situation more, as Cambodia had its own violent uprising. Plus the Vietnamese guerrilla warfare was especially effective, as guerrilla warfare generally is.
