When the colonists arrived in America they had an idea based of manifest destiny where it was their duty to expand and use imperialistic ideas. The colonists tried to take land to colonize that simply wasn't theirs. This caused the Natives to be mad at the colonists. But keep in mind, there were a lot of colonies that thrived off of native ideas. The natives taught them many fishing, hunting cropping methods that made the colonies thrive, and in return the colonies would give them new battle methods. Like the introduction to gun powder.
